Prenatal Care

Here at Align Chiropractic we believe that giving birth should be your greatest achievement and not your greatest fear. We believe in self-empowerment and hope to give you the information you need and want to have the birth plan that you desire. It is important to note that the team at Align supports you whole-heartedly in whatever health decision YOU make for your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care!

Our role as chiropractors is to ensure that your nervous system is functioning as best as it can so that your body can heal, repair, and grow. A well-functioning nervous system can also help you have a sustainable, safe, and comfortable labor and birth.

It’s never too early—or too late—to begin prenatal chiropractic care. As your body adapts to your growing baby, changes in the spine, sacrum, and pelvis can lead to tension and discomfort. Gentle, specific adjustments help reduce pain while supporting proper pelvic balance and alignment. With better pelvic mobility, there is more space for your baby to move and settle into an optimal position. This helps support a more comfortable pregnancy and a smoother, safer birth with fewer interventions.

The Webster Technique

“A specific chiropractic adjustment that reduces biomechanical stress among the pelvis and supporting structures, allowing ease in mother’s body and baby to move into an ideal position for birth”

FAQs

What does the Webster Technique do?

1

Through gentle adjustments and trigger point release, the Webster Technique helps relax and create balance within the body. By reducing tension in the pelvis and surrounding muscles and ligaments, it can help decrease stress on the hips and lower back. This not only helps relieve common pregnancy-related discomforts such as sciatica, muscle spasms, rib pain, and pubic symphysis dysfunction, but also supports your baby's ability to move and position comfortably throughout pregnancy.

Can I receive chiropractic care while pregnant?

2

Yes. As a Webster Certified chiropractor, Dr. Adrienne uses specialized pregnancy pillows and table accommodations to keep you and your baby comfortable throughout your care. Chiropractic care can be safely received throughout all stages of pregnancy with techniques adapted to meet your individual needs.

What kind of conditions can you help with?

4

Dr. Adrienne will sit down with you to review your health history, birth goals, and any other concerns. From there, she’ll complete a thorough exam along with a posture analysis. If everything looks appropriate, you will receive your first adjustment that same day.

We’ll then have you return to review your results, walk through your personalized recommendations, and receive another adjustment if it is needed. Visit frequency will vary based on your symptoms, your baby’s positioning, and any other health considerations.
